Many families are faced with confusing choices when a loved one confronts a medical emergency or a decline in independence due to an illness or chronic condition.  At Home Nursing Care San Diego and Los Angeles offers a superior level of care and commitment to our clients.

We believe our philosophy, higher then industry standard wages and benefits, low employee turnover, training and continuing education sets us apart.  Our success in providing San Diego and Los Angeles in home care is based on the fact that we put great effort into making sure our employees are equipped to meet our client’s home care needs.

Upon hire, our employees complete a 20 hour home care training program. The topics covered include our company policy and procedures, customer service, ethics, rights of the client, how to provide personal care, sensitivity training and safe client transfers.

At Home Nursing Care Los Angeles and San Diego home care specializes in dementia care.  Our employees start with a 4 hour dementia certification program.  In 2011, the Alzheimer’s Association presented us with a certification for partnering with them to educate our staff on Alzheimer’s and dementia.  While the Alzheimer’s Association not long offers this certification we have continued to expand dementia training, offering up to a 23 hour advanced training program to our employees.  Every few months, we add a new dementia related topic or offer a review of standard practices.

Over time, our personal care attendants are assigned or encouraged to complete up to 80 hours of continuing education.  Each month, we host a training program that includes topics such as: Understanding Alzheimer’s, Communicating with Dementia, End of Life Care, Hoarding and many more.

We offer these training programs both at our training center in Encinitas or on-line, and we always invite our clients and their families to attend.  Our agency is approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses and the Board of Behavioral Sciences to offer continuing education to nurses, social workers, private fiduciaries, nursing home administrators and RCFE administrators to provide superior nursing care.
